Rat IL-11 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit uses a double antibody format for the quantitative measurement of rat interleukin-11 (IL-11). It is intended for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and is reactive specifically with rat specimens. The kit is identified with UniProt entry Q99MF5 and is supplied on a solid phase microplate for colorimetric readout.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the assay has a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a working range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL. Reported linearity across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma diluted 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 falls between 80-101% (n=5). Recovery ranges between 85-105% across the same matrices, with average recoveries of 97% (serum), 94% (EDTA plasma) and 93% (heparin plasma).

The procedure involves equilibrating reagents to room temperature, loading standards and samples onto the pre-coated plate, incubating at 37°C for antigen binding (90 minutes), then adding biotin-labeled detection antibody (60 minutes), HRP-streptavidin (SABC) binding (30 minutes), TMB substrate development in the dark, and absorbance reading at 450 nm. Kits are stored at 2-8°C for up to 12 months and shipped at +4°C.
