Rat IGFBP4 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA built on a double-antibody format enables quantitative measurement of Insulin-like Growth Factor Binding Protein 4 (IGFBP4) in rat samples. IGFBP4 is described as a key regulator of insulin-like growth factor signalling, with roles in cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis, and its dysregulation has been implicated in cancer, diabetes, and cardiovascular disorders, making it a valuable biomarker in research.

The kit is suitable for rat serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. Reported performance figures include a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL and an assay range of 78.125-5000 pg/mL.

Validation data show linearity for serum (89-105%, 90-105%, 89-104% at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions, n=5), EDTA plasma (89-99%, 83-96%, 86-100%) and heparin plasma (80-96%, 81-100%, 90-100%). Recovery averages are 91% for serum, 98% for EDTA plasma and 93% for heparin plasma. Detection uses biotin-labelled antibody, HRP-Streptavidin and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm.
