Rat IGFBP-1 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of Insulin-like Growth Factor Binding Protein 1 (IGFBP-1) in rat samples. The assay targets a key protein involved in regulating the bioavailability and activity of insulin-like growth factors, with roles in cell growth and metabolism. Validated for rat reactivity, the kit uses a double-antibody sandwich ELISA format with colorimetric detection. It reports a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a working range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL, and accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. Linearity has been confirmed in serum (89-100% at 1:2, 86-101% at 1:4, 83-98% at 1:8), EDTA plasma (84-96% / 81-94% / 89-104%), and heparin plasma (90-104% / 86-101% / 82-100%), each with n=5. Average recovery values are 99% for serum, 94% for EDTA plasma, and 91% for heparin plasma.

The protocol involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, loading standards, samples and blanks, and incubating the pre-coated plate at 37°C for 90 minutes. A biotin-labelled detection antibody is then added and incubated at 37°C for 60 minutes, followed by HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) for 30 minutes. Colour development with TMB substrate proceeds in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance is read at 450 nm after adding stop solution.
