Rat IgE ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of IgE in rat samples using a double-antibody format with colorimetric detection. The assay is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with reagents stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. It offers a sensitivity of 1.875 ng/mL and a standard curve range of 3.125-200 ng/mL.

The protocol begins with equilibration of reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature. Standards, samples and controls are loaded onto the pre-coated plate and incubated at 37°C for 90 minutes. A biotin-labeled detection antibody is then added for a 60-minute incubation at 37°C, followed by HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) for 30 minutes. TMB substrate is incubated in the dark for 10–20 minutes, the reaction is stopped, and absorbance is read at 450 nm.

Reported linearity values for serum range from 85-99% (1:2), 89-94% (1:4) and 85-93% (1:8); EDTA plasma from 85-103%, 84-99% and 81-96%; and heparin plasma from 88-105%, 85-89% and 80-93%. Recovery averages 97% for serum (range 90-105%), 94% for EDTA plasma (range 88-98%) and 92% for heparin plasma (range 85-105%).
