Rat IgA/Immunoglobulin A ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is intended for the quantitative measurement of Immunoglobulin A (IgA) in rat-derived samples. The assay uses a double-antibody format and a colorimetric read-out, and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Performance specifications reported by the manufacturer include a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Linearity in spiked samples is documented as 88–99% for serum, 93–103% for EDTA plasma, and 86–100% for heparin plasma across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions (n = 5). Spike-and-recovery values are reported as 85–104% (average 97%) for serum, 88–104% (average 98%) for EDTA plasma, and 90–97% (average 94%) for heparin plasma.

The protocol consists of reagent and plate preparation, a 90-minute primary incubation at 37 °C, a 60-minute biotin-labelled detection antibody step, a 30-minute HRP-Streptavidin binding step, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after addition of stop solution. Reagents are stored at 2–8 °C for 12 months, with standards and microplate strips additionally rated for 12 months at –20 °C.
