Rat ICAM1 ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of Intercellular Adhesion Molecule 1 (ICAM-1) in rat samples, this Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie uses a double-antibody configuration and a colorimetric detection method. The kit is reactive with rat-derived sample types including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and is suited to cell biology research applications such as studying immune response, inflammation, autoimmune disease, and cardiovascular disorders.

The assay reports a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL and a working range of 78.125-5000 pg/mL. Reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. Reported linearity is: serum (n=5) 88-104% at 1:2, 85-103% at 1:4, 86-99% at 1:8; EDTA plasma (n=5) 90-99%, 92-98%, 86-100%; heparin plasma (n=5) 83-99%, 88-97%, 85-100%. Reported recovery ranges are 85-100% for serum (average 92%), 86-100% for EDTA plasma (average 94%), and 88-103% for heparin plasma (average 95%).

The procedure involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, loading standards, samples and controls onto the pre-coated plate, incubating at 37°C for 90 minutes for antigen binding, adding biotin-labelled detection antibody and incubating at 37°C for 60 minutes, adding HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) for 30 minutes at 37°C, developing with TMB substrate in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and reading absorbance at 450 nm after adding stop solution.
