Rat IAPP (Islet Amyloid Polypeptide) ELISA Kit (RTES01073)

Assay Genie's Rat IAPP ELISA Kit targets islet amyloid polypeptide, also known as amylin, a 37-residue peptide hormone co-secreted with insulin from pancreatic beta cells. The kit is widely used in diabetes research, beta-cell function studies, and investigation of islet amyloid deposition in rodent models.

The microplate format requires 50 uL of sample per well, with results quantified on a standard plate reader after color development. Unopened reagents should be refrigerated at 2-8 degrees C and protected from light; reconstituted standards and aliquoted samples should be frozen to limit freeze-thaw cycles. Capture antibodies are rat-specific, with no significant cross-reactivity observed for related peptides such as calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP).
