Rat HSP47 ELISA Kit

A sandwich, double-antibody ELISA from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of rat HSP47 (Heat Shock Protein 47) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit uses a microplate pre-coated with a capture antibody specific to the target; samples and standards are added, washed, and incubated with a biotinylated detection antibody followed by an HRP-Streptavidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added and the reaction is stopped for absorbance reading at 450 nm, with the OD value proportional to HSP47 concentration. The kit also includes a validated Bradford Reagent for total protein normalisation.

HSP47 is a collagen-specific chaperone that plays a critical role in collagen synthesis and maturation, supporting the structural integrity of collagen molecules and proper tissue development and repair. Dysregulation of HSP47 has been linked to fibrosis and connective-tissue disorders, and the kit is listed for metabolism research. The associated UniProt entry is P29457.

Reported sensitivity is 0.938 ng/mL with a working range of 1.563–100 ng/mL. Linearity across 1:2 to 1:8 dilutions (n=5) is 82–102% for serum, 87–104% for EDTA plasma, and 84–99% for heparin plasma. Average recovery is 96% for serum, 95% for EDTA plasma, and 91% for heparin plasma (n=5). Reagents are stored at 2–8°C.
