Rat HO2/HMOX2/heme oxygenase 2 ELISA Kit

The kit reports a sensitivity of 0.938 mIU/mL and a working range of 1.563–100 mIU/mL, and it is suitable for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. HO-2 is an enzyme involved in heme metabolism, contributing to the maintenance of cellular homeostasis and protecting cells from oxidative stress; its dysregulation has been implicated in cardiovascular disorders, neurodegenerative disease, and cancer. Reported linearity across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions of serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma falls between 83% and 105%, with spike-recovery averaging 93–97% across the same matrices.

Sample handling includes clotting serum at 1,000 × g for 20 minutes and separating plasma at 1,000 × g for 15 minutes at 2–8°C, with tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and cell lysates processed per the included protocol. The microplate is read at 450 nm after the addition of stop solution.
