Description

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is used to detect and quantify the high affinity immunoglobulin epsilon receptor subunit beta (MS4A2, also known as FcεRI-beta) in rat samples. The assay is reactive with natural and recombinant rat MS4A2 and is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

Reported performance specifications include a detection range of 78-5000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 41.5 pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.9% and inter-assay CV is 8.2%. Linearity has been validated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16, with recovery averaging 86% (range 80-92%) for serum and 88% (range 82-94%) for plasma.

MS4A2 is a critical component of the high-affinity IgE receptor involved in allergic reactions and immune responses, playing a key role in mediating mast cell activation and degranulation. The receptor is a multi-pass membrane protein assembled as a tetramer of an alpha chain, a beta chain and two disulfide-linked gamma chains, with a reported molecular weight of 26,731 Da (UniProt P13386). The product is intended for research use only.
