Rat Heparin-binding growth factor 2 (Fgf2) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie supplies a Sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative detection of rat Heparin-binding growth factor 2 (Fgf2), also known as basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF, HBGF-2, FGF-2). The assay is validated for rat serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and is specific for natural and recombinant rat Fibroblast growth factor 2. The kit is for research use only.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the assay provides a detection range of 15.6-1000pg/mL with a sensitivity of 7.8pg/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 5.2% and an inter-assay CV of 8.4%. Dilutional linearity in serum (N=5) is 105-105% at 1:2, 95-108% at 1:4, 100-110% at 1:8 and 110-120% at 1:16; in EDTA plasma (N=5) values are 106-117%, 97-106%, 112-122% and 109-119%; in heparin plasma (N=5) values are 90-100%, 105-115%, 91-104% and 107-116%. Average recovery is 107% (range 101-113%) in serum and 109% (range 103-115%) in plasma.
