Rat Hemopexin (Hpx) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of hemopexin in rat samples, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay detects natural and recombinant rat Hemopexin and supports research into heme binding, oxidative stress regulation, and iron metabolism.

The immunoassay provides a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.189 ng/mL. It is intended for research use only and is classified under the Signal Transduction research area. Hemopexin functions by binding heme and transporting it to the liver for breakdown and iron recovery, after which the free hemopexin returns to the circulation.

Detection is performed by ELISA with a colorimetric readout, and the target protein corresponds to UniProt accession P20059. Intra-assay CV, inter-assay CV, linearity, and recovery values are provided with the kit, and reagent storage conditions are detailed in the kit components.
