Rat Hemopexin ELISA Kit

A quantitative Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed to measure hemopexin in rat samples using a double-antibody format. The assay employs a biotin-conjugated detection antibody and HRP-Streptavidin with a TMB substrate read at 450 nm, and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with reactivity specific to rat. Known aliases include HPX, Hemopexin, Beta-1B-glycoprotein, and HX (Uniprot P20059).

Sensitivity is 46.875 pg/mL with a working range of 78.125-5000 pg/mL. Reagents are stored at 2-8°C and the kit is shipped on ice packs. Hemopexin is a heme-scavenging protein involved in iron trafficking and the regulation of oxidative stress and inflammation, making it a useful biomarker for research into hemolytic anemia, liver disease, and iron metabolism disorders.
