Rat Hematopoietic prostaglandin D synthase (Hpgds) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Rat Hematopoietic prostaglandin D synthase (Hpgds) Sandwich ELISA kit is intended for research use only and enables quantitative detection of natural and recombinant rat HPGDS. The assay is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.092 ng/mL.

Reproducibility is supported by an intra-assay CV of 4.5% and an inter-assay CV of 7.9%. Reported linearity, in N=5 sample sets at serial 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions, gives recovery ranges of 96–105%, 90–102%, 97–107% and 106–116% for serum; 85–95%, 91–101%, 89–97% and 100–109% for EDTA plasma; and 102–112%, 108–118%, 91–101% and 104–114% for heparin plasma. Average spiked-sample recovery is 94% (range 88–100%) in serum and 96% (range 90–102%) in plasma. The target HPGDS (UniProt O35543, gene symbol Hpgds) is a cytoplasm-localised homodimer of 23,297 Da that acts as a bifunctional enzyme, catalysing the conversion of PGH2 to PGD2 and the conjugation of glutathione with a wide range of aryl halides and organic isothiocyanates, and additionally exhibits low glutathione-peroxidase activity toward cumene hydroperoxide.
