The HSPb2 protein, also known as MKBP, is a small heat shock protein predominantly expressed in cardiac and skeletal muscle, where it contributes to sarcomeric integrity and stress-protective chaperone activity alongside binding partners such as HSPB3. This Assay Genie kit enables quantitative measurement of HSPb2 levels across rat tissue homogenates, supporting studies into myotonic dystrophy, cardiomyopathy, exercise-induced muscle adaptation, and proteostatic stress responses.
Working on a standard microplate format, the assay provides researchers with a tool for investigating chaperone dynamics in rodent models. Reagent components are shipped refrigerated and stored at 4 degrees C, with standard and antibody vials held at -20 degrees C for longer-term stability; protect from light and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles of working aliquots to preserve binding activity.
