Rat HABP1/Hyaluronan Binding Protein 1 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this rat-reactive assay is intended for the precise quantification of hyaluronan binding protein 1 (HABP1) in rat-derived samples using a sandwich ELISA, double-antibody format. The kit reaches a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL across a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL, and accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Detection is colorimetric, with absorbance measured at 450 nm after TMB substrate development.

HABP1 is a key mediator of cell–matrix interactions involved in cell adhesion, migration, and proliferation; its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, inflammation, and tissue remodeling, supporting its use as a biomarker in disease research. Recovery performance averaged 97% (range 87–105%) in serum, 91% (range 88–98%) in EDTA plasma, and 92% (range 87–101%) in heparin plasma. Linearity at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions spanned 85–104%, 83–96%, and 83–100% for serum; 88–103%, 85–100%, and 80–93% for EDTA plasma; and 85–97%, 88–101%, and 82–95% for heparin plasma.

Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. The protocol follows a standard sandwich workflow: equilibrate reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature and load standards, samples and controls on the pre-coated plate; incubate for 90 minutes at 37°C for antigen binding; add biotin-labelled detection antibody and incubate for 60 minutes at 37°C; add HRP-streptavidin (SABC) for 30 minutes at 37°C; develop colour with TMB substrate in the dark for 10–20 minutes; then add stop solution and read absorbance at 450 nm.
