Rat H-FABP/FABP3 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of heart-type fatty acid-binding protein (H-FABP/FABP3) in rat samples. It uses a double-antibody, colorimetric detection format and accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

The assay has a sensitivity of 28.125 pg/mL and a working range of 46.875–3000 pg/mL. Reagents should be stored at 2–8°C and remain stable for 12 months. Recovery and linearity have been validated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. The Uniprot reference is P07483, and the protein is also known as Fabp3, H-FABP, MDGI, and FABP11.

H-FABP is a key protein involved in the transport of fatty acids in cardiac muscle cells and plays a critical role in cardiac metabolism. Elevations in H-FABP levels have been linked to myocardial infarction, heart failure, and other cardiovascular diseases, making this a useful tool for cardiovascular research.
