Rat GSTT2 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative detection of Glutathione S-Transferase Theta 2 (GSTT2) in rat samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric readout and is reactive with rat. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples.

GSTT2 is an enzyme involved in the detoxification of xenobiotics and in the metabolism of drugs and carcinogens, with variations in its activity linked to increased susceptibility to conditions such as cancer and cardiovascular disorders. The kit offers a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a standard range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL, and is intended to be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. The protocol proceeds by equilibrating reagents, loading standards and samples on the pre-coated plate, incubating at 37°C for 90 minutes, adding a biotin-labeled detection antibody for 60 minutes, then HRP-Streptavidin for 30 minutes, developing with TMB substrate in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and reading absorbance at 450 nm. Reported linearity spans 87-105% for serum, 82-99% for EDTA plasma, and 81-100% for heparin plasma across 1:2 to 1:8 dilutions, with mean recovery of 95% (serum), 97% (EDTA plasma), and 94% (heparin plasma).
