Rat GSTt1/Glutathione S Transferase Theta 1 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit uses a double-antibody format with colorimetric detection to quantify Glutathione S-Transferase Theta 1 (GSTT1) in rat-derived samples. It is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with reactivity specific to rat.

GSTT1 is an enzyme involved in the detoxification of reactive electrophiles and drugs, contributing to the protection of cells from oxidative damage. Alterations in GSTT1 expression have been linked to cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and drug resistance, making it a useful biomarker for studies of disease pathogenesis and drug metabolism. Unopened kits are stable at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Linearity has been demonstrated across dilution series of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma, with recoveries averaging 91% in serum, 93% in EDTA plasma and 94% in heparin plasma. The double-antibody sandwich workflow uses a biotin-labelled detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin binding and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm.
