Rat Growth Hormone/GH ELISA Kit

Built for the precise measurement of rat growth hormone, this sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie uses a double antibody method to deliver high sensitivity and specificity across serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid sample types. Growth hormone is a vital hormone that plays a crucial role in regulating growth, metabolism, and tissue repair in rats, and the kit supports research into growth disorders, metabolic conditions, and age-related changes.

The assay has a sensitivity of 5.625 pg/mL and a working range of 9.375-600 pg/mL, with absorbance read at 450 nm. Linearity at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions was demonstrated at 86-103%, 86-97%, and 87-104% for serum (n=5); 82-99%, 82-101%, and 82-98% for EDTA plasma (n=5); and 85-97%, 81-98%, and 81-98% for heparin plasma (n=5). Recovery ranged from 86-100% (average 92) in serum, 88-101% (average 94) in EDTA plasma, and 85-105% (average 91) in heparin plasma.

The protocol equilibrates reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature before loading standards, samples, and controls onto the pre-coated plate for 90 minutes at 37°C. After a biotin-labelled detection antibody incubation (60 minutes at 37°C) and an HRP-Streptavidin SABC step (30 minutes at 37°C), TMB is incubated in the dark for 10–20 minutes and the reaction is stopped for immediate absorbance reading. Kit components are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
