Rat Granulin ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of granulin in rat samples. It detects granulin in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples, supporting research into cell growth, inflammation, and tissue repair, as well as conditions such as neurodegenerative disorders, cancer, and inflammatory conditions. The protein is also known by the synonyms GRN, Granulins, PC cell-derived growth factor, PCDGF, Proepithelin, and PEPI (Uniprot P23785).

The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection, with absorbance read at 450 nm. The kit has a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a measuring range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. The protocol includes a 90-minute primary incubation at 37 °C, followed by biotin-labeled detection antibody binding, HRP-streptavidin (SABC) binding, and TMB substrate development before a stop solution is added. All kit components are stored at 2–8 °C, and the kit is stable for 12 months under these conditions.

Validation data demonstrate linearity in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 (n = 5). Recovery ranges are 88–105% for serum (average 96%), 86–105% for EDTA plasma (average 100%), and 86–105% for heparin plasma (average 92%).
