Rat Gpi/Glucose-6-phosphate isomerase ELISA Kit

This Assay Genie Sandwich ELISA kit provides a sensitive and specific colorimetric method for quantifying Glucose-6-Phosphate Isomerase (GPI) in rat samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with TMB substrate, and absorbance is read at 450 nm. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The reported sensitivity is 46.875 pg/mL, with a standard range of 78.125-5000 pg/mL. Kits are supplied with storage instructions at 2-8°C, stable for 12 months.

Glucose-6-Phosphate Isomerase is described as a key enzyme in glycolysis and gluconeogenesis, with abnormal levels linked to cancer, metabolic disorders, and inflammation, making this kit suitable for research into energy metabolism and these disease contexts. Linearity has been demonstrated in serum (n = 5) at 82-102% (1:2), 85-99% (1:4) and 90-99% (1:8); in EDTA plasma (n = 5) at 80-105% (1:2), 85-96% (1:4) and 82-100% (1:8); and in heparin plasma (n = 5) at 80-102% (1:2), 84-96% (1:4) and 92-98% (1:8). Recovery averages 91% in serum (range 81-98), 88% in EDTA plasma (81-97) and 84% in heparin plasma (80-88).

The protocol involves equilibrating reagents to room temperature, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody incubation for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10-20 minutes and addition of stop solution before immediate absorbance measurement at 450 nm.
