Rat GP4/CD36 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of GP4/CD36 in rat samples, using a colorimetric detection method. The assay is suited to serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate and other liquid samples, and is intended for cell biology research where this receptor protein is investigated as a biomarker of lipid metabolism, inflammation and immune response regulation, and in studies of related conditions such as atherosclerosis and diabetes.

The assay reports a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL with a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Reported linearity covers serum (87–98% at 1:2, 91–99% at 1:4, 86–105% at 1:8), EDTA plasma (87–100%, 90–97%, 82–100%) and heparin plasma (80–90%, 81–98%, 83–100%). Spike-and-recovery averages are 99% for serum, 93% for EDTA plasma and 96% for heparin plasma. Components should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

The workflow includes plate and reagent equilibration, a 37°C primary incubation for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody incubation for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after stop solution addition.
