Rat GOT2/Aspartate aminotransferase ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this colorimetric Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the accurate detection of aspartate aminotransferase (GOT2) levels in rat samples. The enzyme plays a crucial role in amino acid metabolism, catalysing the transamination of aspartate and alpha-ketoglutarate into oxaloacetate and glutamate, and is relevant to research into metabolic disorders, liver diseases, and cardiac conditions.

Acceptable sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay uses a biotin-labelled detection antibody with HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm. Reported performance from the manufacturer includes a sensitivity of 0.469 ng/mL and a detection range of 0.781–50 ng/mL. Linearity in serum (n=5) was 93–102% at 1:2, 90–103% at 1:4 and 93–104% at 1:8, with EDTA plasma 84–100%, 84–100% and 82–101% and heparin plasma 85–95%, 81–95% and 80–95% across the same dilutions. Recovery averaged 97% in serum, 94% in EDTA plasma and 100% in heparin plasma, with ranges of 88–105%, 86–104% and 94–105% respectively.
