Rat GLUT1/SLC2A1 ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of GLUT1/SLC2A1 in rat samples using a double-antibody detection format. The assay accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and reports a sensitivity of 0.469 ng/mL over a working range of 0.781–50 ng/mL. GLUT1 is described as a key glucose transporter involved in membrane glucose uptake, with research relevance to diabetes, cancer and neurological disorders.

Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. The assay follows a six-step protocol: equilibrate reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature and set up standard, sample and control wells on the pre-coated plate; incubate at 37°C for 90 minutes for primary antigen binding; add biotin-labelled detection antibody and incubate at 37°C for 60 minutes; add HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) and incubate at 37°C for 30 minutes; develop with TMB substrate in the dark for 10–20 minutes; stop the reaction and read absorbance at 450 nm.

Reported linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions ranges from 88–103% for serum (n=5), 92–103% for EDTA plasma (n=5) and 87–104% for heparin plasma (n=5). Spike-recovery averages are 97% for serum, 99% for EDTA plasma and 94% for heparin plasma across the tested recovery ranges.
