Rat Glucagon ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this rat-reactive ELISA kit is built on a Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody format and is designed for the quantitative measurement of glucagon. Glucagon is a key peptide hormone involved in blood sugar regulation through promoting the release of glucose from the liver, and it is implicated in conditions such as diabetes and metabolic disorders, making reliable measurement valuable for endocrinology and metabolic research.

The assay has a sensitivity of 37.5 pg/mL and a working range of 62.5-4000 pg/mL. Accepted sample matrices include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Storage is at 2-8°C for 12 months. The procedure uses a TMB substrate with HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) signal generation; absorbance is read at 450 nm after addition of stop solution.

Validated linearity on serum at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 (n=5) was 85-102%, 83-101% and 88-100% respectively, with EDTA plasma at 89-105%, 82-97% and 80-99%, and heparin plasma at 88-104%, 84-99% and 84-100%.
