Rat GLN1/Glutamine Synthetase ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of rat GLN1 (Glutamine Synthetase) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. GLN1 catalyses the synthesis of glutamine from glutamate and ammonia and is central to nitrogen metabolism, with documented roles in neurotransmission and ammonia detoxification. Its dysregulation has been implicated in liver disease and neurodegenerative disorders, making the protein a biomarker of interest across multiple research areas, including cardiovascular studies.

Using a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection, the kit offers a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and an assay range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Reported linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is 85–101%, 82–91% and 87–99% for serum; 86–98%, 81–100% and 83–98% for EDTA plasma; and 85–94%, 88–100% and 85–98% for heparin plasma (n=5 each). Spike-and-recovery averages are 95% for serum, 96% for EDTA plasma and 95% for heparin plasma. The kit is intended for storage at 2–8°C and is stable for 12 months under those conditions.
