Rat GDF6 (Growth Differentiation Factor 6) ELISA Kit (RTES00897)

Growth Differentiation Factor 6 (GDF6), also designated BMP13, is a secreted ligand of the TGF-β superfamily and bone morphogenetic protein subgroup. It is required for proper skeletal patterning, limb and joint morphogenesis, chondrocyte differentiation, and ocular development, and loss-of-function variants have been associated with Klippel-Feil syndrome, microphthalmia, and Leber congenital amaurosis. This quantitative immunoassay enables measurement of endogenous GDF6 protein in rat samples, supporting research in bone and cartilage biology, developmental biology, and models of retinal and vertebral disease.

The Assay Genie kit is supplied as a complete 96-well microplate format with pre-coated capture antibody, biotinylated detection reagent, calibrated standards, and chromogenic substrate. Each reaction requires 50 µL of sample, and the assay is calibrated for specific detection of rat GDF6 with no significant cross-reactivity observed with related BMP/TGF-β family members.
