Rat GDF3 ELISA Kit

Designed for the precise detection of Growth Differentiation Factor 3 (GDF3) in rat samples, this Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie uses a double-antibody format with colorimetric detection. The kit is intended for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with storage at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 37.5 pg/mL and a working range of 62.5-4000 pg/mL. Linearity in serum (n=5) is reported at 87-101%, 83-100%, and 83-100% at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions respectively; EDTA plasma (n=5) at 85-97%, 89-99%, and 88-95%; and heparin plasma (n=5) at 85-100%, 86-103%, and 85-100%. Recovery is given as 87-103% (average 94%) for serum, 88-96% (average 94%) for EDTA plasma, and 85-97% (average 97%) for heparin plasma.

The assay involves primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes at 37°C, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes at 37°C, TMB color development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after stop solution addition. GDF3 is implicated in embryonic development, stem cell differentiation, and tissue regeneration, with dysregulation linked to cancer, developmental disorders, and infertility.
