Rat GDF1 ELISA Kit

Designed by Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of Growth Differentiation Factor 1 (GDF1) in rat samples, this Sandwich ELISA uses a double-antibody format with colorimetric detection. The kit is intended for research applications involving cell differentiation and proliferation, embryonic development, tissue regeneration, and organ development. Elevated GDF1 levels have been associated with certain diseases and disorders, making it a relevant biomarker for exploring those conditions and potential therapeutic interventions.

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reported sensitivity is 18.75 pg/mL with a working range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL. Linearity in serum (n = 5) is 95–105% at 1:2, 98–104% at 1:4, and 89–100% at 1:8; EDTA plasma (n = 5) 82–95%, 85–94%, 82–96%; heparin plasma (n = 5) 91–98%, 84–100%, 86–97%. Recovery averages are 98% (serum), 95% (EDTA plasma), and 94% (heparin plasma). Kits are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. The workflow equilibrates reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, performs primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after stop solution addition.
