Description

A high-quality sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the precise measurement of Glutamate-Cysteine Ligase modifier subunit (GCLM) in rat samples. GCLM is a key enzyme involved in the synthesis of glutathione, an important cellular antioxidant, and its dysregulation has been linked to oxidative stress, inflammation, cancer, liver diseases and neurodegenerative disorders, making it a valuable biomarker for research into these conditions.

The kit uses a sandwich ELISA, double antibody format and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. It offers a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a standard curve range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL. The kit should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Performance validation demonstrates linearity between 80% and 105% across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at serial dilutions, and recovery ranging from 86% to 103% in the same matrices. The procedure includes a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, followed by 60-minute detection antibody binding, 30-minute HRP-Streptavidin binding, and TMB color development with absorbance read at 450 nm.
