Rat GC/Vitamin D Binding protein ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of GC/Vitamin D Binding protein in rat samples, this colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie uses a double-antibody format. Absorbance is read at 450 nm after TMB substrate reaction and addition of stop solution. The assay is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Sensitivity is reported at 9.375 ng/mL, with an assay range of 15.625-1000 ng/mL. Linearity spans 88-102% for serum (n=5), 87-101% for EDTA plasma (n=5), and 89-105% for heparin plasma (n=5) at the 1:2 dilution; at 1:4 the corresponding ranges are 87-93%, 88-99%, and 88-100%; at 1:8 they are 81-90%, 83-98%, and 80-96%. Average recovery is 95% for serum, 92% for EDTA plasma, and 91% for heparin plasma, with respective recovery ranges of 88-99%, 88-99%, and 85-97%.

The procedure begins with equilibration of reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, followed by a primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes. Biotin-labelled detection antibody is then incubated at 37°C for 60 minutes, followed by HRP-Streptavidin conjugate at 37°C for 30 minutes. TMB colour development occurs in the dark for 10-20 minutes before addition of stop solution and absorbance measurement. The kit is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
