Description

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for quantitative detection of gamma-synuclein (SNCG) in rat samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. The double-antibody format uses colorimetric detection, with a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a working range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL. The kit supports research into a protein implicated in neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease, where gamma-synuclein's roles in promoting neurite outgrowth and regulating synaptic function make it a valuable biomarker for neurological studies.

Reported linearity for serial dilutions spans 80-105% across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma (n = 5 per matrix). Recovery ranges from 89-104% in serum (average 98%), 89-104% in EDTA plasma (average 97%), and 86-105% in heparin plasma (average 96%). Unopened components are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

The assay procedure follows a standard sandwich workflow: equilibrate reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, incubate standards and samples on the pre-coated plate at 37°C for 90 minutes, bind biotin-labelled detection antibody for 60 minutes at 37°C, add HRP-Streptavidin for 30 minutes at 37°C, develop with TMB substrate in the dark for 10-20 minutes, then add stop solution and read absorbance at 450 nm.
