Rat Galectin 1/GAL1 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Rat Galectin-1 (Gal1) ELISA Kit is a sandwich-format, double-antibody immunoassay developed for the quantitative measurement of Galectin-1 in rat samples. Galectin-1 is implicated in cell adhesion, migration, and immune response regulation, and is studied as a biomarker in cancer, inflammation, and autoimmune disease research.

The assay has a reported sensitivity of 0.375 ng/mL and a working range of 0.625-40 ng/mL. It accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples, with kit components stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. Detection is colorimetric, using a biotinylated detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC), and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm.

Linearity is reported at 88-104% (serum), 86-103% (EDTA plasma), and 90-104% (heparin plasma) across dilution series, and recovery averages 97% (serum), 91% (EDTA plasma), and 94% (heparin plasma). The kit provides a lyophilised standard, 100× biotin-labelled antibody, 100× HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate, sample and antibody dilution buffers, SABC dilution buffer, 25× wash buffer, and stop solution.
