Rat GAL2/Galectin-2 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA uses a double-antibody format for the detection and quantification of Gal2 (galectin-2) in rat samples. The kit is suitable for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with colorimetric readout at 450 nm.

The manufacturer reports a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and an assay range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL. The six-step protocol begins with reagent and plate preparation, followed by primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, and HRP-Streptavidin conjugate binding for 30 minutes. Colour development uses a TMB substrate incubated in the dark for 10–20 minutes, with absorbance read at 450 nm immediately after adding stop solution. Kit components are stored at 2–8°C, and the kit remains stable for 12 months under those conditions.
