Rat G6PD (Glucose-6-phosphate 1-dehydrogenase) ELISA Kit

Designed by Assay Genie for the accurate quantification of Glucose-6-phosphate 1-dehydrogenase (G6PD) levels, this Sandwich ELISA kit uses a double-antibody format and is reactive with rat samples. It is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit reports a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a working range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL, and components are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Linearity has been demonstrated across serial dilutions of serum (80–100%, 87–101%, 86–99% at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8), EDTA plasma (84–105%, 82–101%, 85–98%) and heparin plasma (81–97%, 80–97%, 87–97%), each tested with n=5. Recovery ranges are reported as 83–99% for serum, 88–94% for EDTA plasma and 82–98% for heparin plasma, with averages of 92%, 91% and 92% respectively. The assay procedure follows a six-step workflow, beginning with reagent and TMB substrate equilibration and ending with absorbance measurement at 450 nm immediately after addition of stop solution.

G6PD is a key enzyme of the pentose phosphate pathway that helps maintain cellular redox balance and protects against oxidative stress, and its dysregulation has been implicated in glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, hemolytic anaemia and certain metabolic disorders.
