Rat Fractalkine PharmaGenie ELISA Kit (SBRS1635)

Soluble Fractalkine (CX3CL1), the sole member of the CX3C chemokine subfamily, can be quantified in rat samples using the Rat Fractalkine PharmaGenie ELISA Kit from Assay Genie. The kit is validated for cell culture supernatants, cell lysates, plasma, serum, and tissue lysates, supporting studies of neuroinflammation, microglial activation, vascular biology, kidney injury models, and chronic inflammatory disease.

Fractalkine is expressed as a membrane-anchored glycoprotein on endothelial and epithelial cells, where metalloprotease cleavage (notably by ADAM10 and ADAM17) liberates a soluble chemoattractant that signals through CX3CR1 on microglia, monocytes, NK cells, and a subset of cytotoxic T lymphocytes. Tracking soluble CX3CL1 release in rodent tissues and circulation helps connect chemokine output with disease state or treatment response in cell-based and in vivo rat research workflows.
