Rat Follicle-Stimulating Hormone/FSH ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Rat Follicle-Stimulating Hormone/FSH ELISA Kit is a competitive, antigen-coated ELISA intended for the quantitative measurement of FSH in rat samples. The workflow uses a biotin-labeled antibody in combination with HRP-streptavidin and a TMB substrate, with signal read as absorbance at 450 nm using a microplate reader.

The kit is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reported analytical performance includes a sensitivity of 1.406 mIU/mL and an assay range of 2.344-150 mIU/mL. Dilutional linearity has been evaluated at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma, and spike-and-recovery testing returned average recoveries of 98% in serum, 98% in EDTA plasma, and 95% in heparin plasma across the tested sample sets.

FSH is a gonadotropin involved in reproductive regulation, contributing to ovarian follicle development in females and spermatogenesis in males, and is commonly used as a biomarker in studies of infertility and reproductive endocrinology. The kit is stored sealed at 2-8°C and should not be cryopreserved.
