Rat Ficolin 1 (FCN1) ELISA Kit

This quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie measures Ficolin-1 (FCN1), a secreted pattern recognition molecule of the lectin complement pathway, in rat specimens. Ficolin-1, also known as M-ficolin, is expressed primarily by monocytes and granulocytes and binds N-acetylglucosamine-rich surfaces on microbial pathogens, making it a useful biomarker for studies of innate immunity, host defense, and inflammatory disease models in rats.

The kit includes pre-coated microwell strips, lyophilized recombinant standards, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash concentrate, TMB substrate, and stop solution in quantities sufficient for 96 individual determinations. All components should be refrigerated upon arrival; the TMB substrate vial should be protected from light and stored as labeled until the expiration date. Rat specimen preparations compatible with the assay include tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and cell culture supernatants, alongside blood-derived serum fractions or plasma fractions collected from in vivo or in vitro experiments.
