Rat Fibronectin (FN) ELISA Kit

Quantitative immunoassay for measuring fibronectin (FN) in rat samples, including serum or plasma preparations and cell culture supernatant, supplied by Assay Genie in a complete kit configuration. Fibronectin is a high-molecular-weight extracellular glycoprotein central to cell adhesion, wound repair, and matrix organization, and circulating levels of the protein are used as a biomarker in studies of fibrosis, hepatic injury, vascular pathology, and tumor progression.

The assay is built for in vitro research use only and includes pre-coated plates, detection reagents, and standards sufficient for 96 assays. Colorimetric readout supports straightforward absorbance measurement on standard plate readers. Each run is intended to be single use to preserve standard curve integrity and minimize inter-assay variability.

Sample handling guidance: equilibrate reagents to room temperature before opening, and keep the kit refrigerated between uses. The procedure is compatible with a small sample volume per well, conserving precious rat specimens in preclinical studies.

Common research applications include tracking circulating fibronectin concentrations in experimental rat models of liver fibrosis, myocardial remodeling, diabetic nephropathy, and inflammatory disease, as well as in vitro studies of fibroblast, hepatocyte, and endothelial cell cultures where fibronectin secretion into conditioned medium is being characterized.
