FGF9 (fibroblast growth factor 9) is a paracrine signaling ligand in the FGF family that drives branching morphogenesis during lung development, regulates chondrocyte proliferation in endochondral ossification, and acts as a key factor in male gonadal sex determination in rodent models. This quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie is configured for rat specimens and measures endogenous FGF9 concentrations across a range of specimen matrices, including serum fractions, plasma fractions, and conditioned media harvested from primary cell cultures. The kit supplies reagents sufficient for 96 determinations in a standard microplate footprint and produces a colorimetric endpoint readable on conventional plate readers using standard visible-range filter equipment.

Researchers investigating respiratory system development, skeletal biology, or reproductive system patterning in rat disease models can apply this kit to longitudinal serum profiling, tissue homogenate analysis, or supernatant samples from in vitro cell culture experiments. Each kit is supplied as a complete reagent set, including pre-coated plate wells, biotinylated detection antibody, recombinant rat FGF9 standards, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, concentrated wash buffer, TMB substrate, and stop solution. Store the kit refrigerated upon arrival, protect it from light to preserve enzymatic activity, and aliquot reconstituted standards to limit freeze-thaw cycles.

This product is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic procedures. The assay is reactive with rat FGF9 and is not evaluated for cross-reactivity in non-rodent sample matrices.
