Rat FGF1/FGF acidic ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of FGF1 (also known as FGF acidic) in rat-derived samples. FGF1 is described as a critical factor in regulating cell growth, tissue repair and angiogenesis, and the kit supports research into its roles in cancer, cardiovascular disorders and metabolic conditions.

Validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, the assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a standard range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Unopened kits should be stored at 2–8°C and remain stable for 12 months under those conditions.

Linearity in serum was 86–104%, 87–96% and 82–99% at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions; EDTA plasma showed 88–104%, 86–96% and 88–95% across the same dilutions, and heparin plasma showed 85–100%, 83–94% and 80–91%. Spike-recovery averaged 92% in serum, 94% in EDTA plasma and 99% in heparin plasma. The workflow includes a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, biotinylated detection antibody binding, HRP-streptavidin (SABC) binding, TMB color development, and absorbance reading at 450 nm.
