Rat Fga/Fibrinogen alpha chain ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the accurate quantification of Fibrinogen Alpha Chain (FGA) in rat samples. It uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection and is suited to immunology research. The assay accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples.

The kit is calibrated with a sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL and a working range of 1.563–100 ng/mL. Reported linearity covers serum (92–98%, 84–98% and 83–98% at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions), EDTA plasma (91–104%, 86–97% and 81–100%) and heparin plasma (87–100%, 82–99% and 83–95%). Recovery across the same sample types is 91–104% (average 97%), 85–100% (average 94%) and 87–105% (average 94%) respectively. Storage is at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Fibrinogen Alpha Chain contributes to blood clotting, wound healing, hemostasis and vascular integrity, and altered levels of FGA have been linked to cardiovascular disorders, inflammatory conditions and liver diseases. The procedure involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate, incubating standards and samples at 37°C for 90 minutes, adding a biotin-labelled detection antibody for 60 minutes, then HRP-Streptavidin for 30 minutes, developing with TMB substrate in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and reading absorbance at 450 nm after adding stop solution.
