Ferritin heavy polypeptide (FTH) is the catalytically active subunit responsible for rapid sequestration of intracellular iron, and changes in its circulating concentration track iron storage, oxidative stress, and hepatic inflammation in rodent models. This quantitative enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay from Assay Genie is configured to measure native FTH in rat-derived specimens using an antibody pair directed against the heavy-chain subunit.
