Rat Fatty Acid Synthase/FASN ELISA Kit

Assay Genie supplies a Sandwich ELISA kit designed for the quantitative measurement of Fatty Acid Synthase (FASN) in rat samples. Using a double-antibody format, the kit is intended for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. It offers a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and an assay range of 0.313–20 ng/mL, and is validated for rat reactivity. The kit is suited to metabolism research, as FASN is a key enzyme in fatty acid synthesis and lipid metabolism, with dysregulation linked to conditions such as obesity, diabetes, and cancer.

In the workflow, capture antibody is pre-coated onto the microplate and detection relies on a biotin-conjugated antibody together with HRP-Streptavidin and a TMB substrate; absorbance is read at 450 nm after the addition of stop solution. Reagents should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months, with the lyophilized standard and plate strips additionally suitable for 12 months at -20°C.
