FABP4, also called adipocyte fatty acid-binding protein (A-FABP) or aP2, is a 15 kDa intracellular lipid chaperone expressed predominantly in adipocytes and macrophages. This Assay Genie kit provides rat-specific quantitative measurement of endogenous FABP4, using antibodies raised against the rat adipocyte isoform to discriminate it from related fatty acid-binding protein family members.
