Rat FABP4 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA (double antibody) from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of Fatty Acid Binding Protein 4 (FABP4) in rat samples. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit has a sensitivity of 1.875 ng/mL and an assay range of 3.125–200 ng/mL, with colorimetric detection via TMB substrate and absorbance measurement at 450 nm.

Validation data demonstrate consistent performance. Linearity across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions ranged from 86–101%, 84–100%, and 82–96% for serum (n = 5); 87–102%, 85–95%, and 86–95% for EDTA plasma (n = 5); and 85–102%, 91–100%, and 82–99% for heparin plasma (n = 5). Spike-and-recovery testing yielded average recoveries of 93% for serum (range 87–100%), 96% for EDTA plasma (range 90–104%), and 97% for heparin plasma (range 91–103%).

The protocol uses a biotin-labeled detection antibody and HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, with primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes and detection antibody binding for 60 minutes. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. The kit supports research into lipid metabolism and inflammation, including studies of obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disorders.
