Rat F2 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Rat F2 (Coagulation Factor II, also known as Prothrombin/Thrombin) ELISA Kit is a sandwich, double-antibody enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of F2 in rat samples. The kit is compatible with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and uses a colorimetric TMB substrate with absorbance read at 450 nm. It is intended for research use only.

Linearity for EDTA plasma (n=5) is 86–102% at 1:2, 84–101% at 1:4, and 83–99% at 1:8; heparin plasma (n=5) shows 87–104%, 88–101%, and 80–100% across the same dilutions. Mean recovery is 94% for EDTA plasma and 96% for heparin plasma. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months, and the kit includes a validated Bradford Reagent for total protein quantification and sample normalization.

F2 (Prothrombin) is a key coagulation factor with roles in blood clotting and wound healing; its dysregulation has been linked to thrombosis, hemorrhage, and liver dysfunction, making it a relevant biomarker for coagulation and hemostasis research.
