Rat ESM1/Endocan ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody assay for the quantitative measurement of ESM1 (also known as endocan, ESM-1, IGFBP-rp6, or endothelial cell-specific molecule 1) in rat samples. The kit is intended for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and uses colorimetric detection with absorbance read at 450 nm.

Reported analytical performance includes a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL and a working range of 78.125-5000 pg/mL. Linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions was reported as 89-103%, 90-100% and 92-99% for serum (n = 5); 90-104%, 89-97% and 91-100% for EDTA plasma (n = 5); and 96-103%, 91-101% and 93-95% for heparin plasma (n = 5). Spike-recovery averages were 98% for serum (range 96-103%), 99% for EDTA plasma (range 95-104%) and 97% for heparin plasma (range 95-102%).

The procedure runs at 37°C across an initial 90-minute antigen-binding incubation, a 60-minute biotin-labelled detection antibody step and a 30-minute HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) step, followed by 10-20 minutes of TMB substrate development in the dark before stop solution is added. Reagents are stored at 2-8°C for up to 12 months. The associated Uniprot reference is P97682 and the product is positioned for cardiovascular research.
