The Assay Genie ELISA Kit provides quantitative measurement of EREG (Epiregulin) in rat-derived research samples through a two-antibody immunoassay workflow. Epiregulin is a small EGF-family ligand that activates EGFR and HER4 receptors and is widely studied in wound healing, mucosal regeneration, keratinocyte biology, chronic inflammatory disease, and several EGFR-driven carcinoma models. Investigators of tumor-stroma crosstalk, intestinal barrier integrity, or epithelial-mesenchymal signaling use EREG quantification to track ligand shedding into conditioned media, tissue homogenates, and circulation.

This kit is for research use only and supports biomarker discovery and pharmacodynamic studies in rodent disease models. Working reagents are typically prepared in a single batch from lyophilized components, with reconstituted standards and detection antibody stored refrigerated until first use and frozen aliquots kept at -20 °C for extended stability across multiple working sessions. The supplied microplate is pre-coated with capture antibody, and signal development proceeds through a chromogenic substrate step read on a standard plate reader.
